AI powered campaign translation

AI translation lets you create translated copies of your campaigns automatically. This article explains how the feature works, what gets translated, and how to get the best results.

How it works

When you copy a campaign, you can select one or more target languages in the Translation section of the copy step. Playable will create a separate campaign for each language you select, with all translatable content translated by AI.

Each translated campaign is automatically named with a country code prefix — for example, a campaign called "Summer Spin" translated into German will be named DE | Summer Spin.

Translation runs in the background. The campaign will be locked until the job completes - you'll be able to access it once it's ready.

What gets translated

The following content is always translated:

  • Game content (game settings, flow pages, sections & add-ons)

  • Registration fields

The following content is translated if selected during the copy step:

  • Emails

  • Regular prizes

  • Bulk prizes

The following content is never translated:

  • Popovers

  • Global content (sections, flow pages, messages)

  • Integrations

Understanding the translation summary

After a translation job completes, you'll see a summary panel showing how many fields were analyzed, successfully translated, and the overall success rate. If any fields need attention, they'll be flagged for review.

There are two types of flagged fields:

Errors - the AI was unable to translate the field. You can provide a manual translation or retry with AI using the wand icon.

Unchanged - the original and translated values are identical. This typically happens with loan words, brand names, or terms that are the same across languages (e.g. "Playable", "E-mail"). The AI assessed that no translation was needed, but you can review the reasoning and provide your own translation if you disagree.

To resolve flagged fields, click "Review →" in the summary panel. For each field you can either keep the original (mark as reviewed) or enter a manual translation. Once you're done, click "Save changes" - the summary will update to confirm what was resolved.

Getting the best results

Translation quality improves significantly when a translation prompt has been set for your account. The prompt gives the AI context about your brand's tone, style, and any specific preferences.

You can set or update your translation prompt from within the copy step, or via Account settings → Global administration. This is a global setting - it applies to all AI translations across your account and only needs to be configured once.

The translation prompt can be maximum 300 characters.

Translating from the community hub

If you import a campaign from the community hub, you can translate it in the same step as importing. Select a language in the "Translate this campaign" section, and a translated copy will be created automatically. The campaign name will be prefixed with the country code.

A note on AI accuracy

All translations are powered by AI. We recommend manually reviewing translated campaigns before publishing, particularly for customer-facing copy.
