1. How do I change the background of the actual game?

The background of the game itself (which per default is a jungle background), can be changed in the frontend editor.

Per default, you can find the standard background on the flow page containing the game as shown below. From here, you can change the background to another image, color, etc.

Instead of the game page itself, you can also add the background to the row or the column containing the game, depending on the visual layout you would like for the game page (For more information, check out our Rush Runner design guide)

2. Is it possible to allow participants to keep playing until the time is up, regardless of how many points they collect?

Unlike in other skill games, this is not exactly possible in the Rush Runner game type. While it is possible to increase the 'winning points' to an unachievable number, which would make it it more likely that the user will play until the time runs out, the game will always finish if the player hits the obstacle on the last round.

3. I am experiencing issues with the jump height of my avatar on different devices, how can I avoid this?

This can often occur if changes have been made to the layout of the game and the behavior of the avatar for either mobile or desktop specifically.

For reference, it can be a good idea to take a look at our default values for the settings 'game height' and 'jump power' as these will affect how high the avatar jumps relative to the size of the game.

Desktop:

  • Game height: 600px

  • Jump power: 110

Mobile:

  • Game height: 500px

  • Jump power: 110

If you base your settings on these default values, the avatar should not be able to jump out of the game on either desktop or mobile.
