IP addresses will be collected from participants via campaigns created in the Playable platform. It is not possible to disable the collection of IP addresses.

If your game contains a registration form, the IP address can be exported along with any other data collected. Read more here about exporting registrations.

Why is the IP address collected?

Playable captures IP addresses from visitors because the IP addresses are used by web developers to identify malicious site visits, helping them identify hacking attempts so they can blacklist threatening visitors to protect the website’s data and traffic. IP addresses are therefor collected by Playable for security purposes, in order to block a participant if we can see undesirable behaviour, e.g. a bot that sends in multiple requests in a short period of time.
