Where to add meta settings
You can define your meta settings under the Publishing tab.
You can also set up global meta settings under Account Settings > Global Administration > Sharing Information
If you'd like to learn more about meta settings, you can check out these resources:
Description of the different meta settings
Meta title controls what shows in the browser tab when someone visits your campaign landing page.
If you leave the title blank, it will use the name of your campaign.
Meta image and description relates to the image and text that shows when when your campaign is shared on social media and in search engine results
The size of your meta image must be 1200x630px, otherwise it will not fit your Facebook or Instagram feed.
Meta site will use the name of your account if you leave it blank.
Language defines the campaign's language so that third-party software like cookie consent providers display their content in the correct language
Google translation of the content in a campaign via Google Chrome's automatic translator feature can be enabled or disabled
Robots controls whether or not search engines can index and follow the campaign.
"Indexing" refers to the process by which search engines like Google analyze the content of a campaign.
A no-index tag informs search engines not to index a page or website, excluding it from appearing in search engine results. It will also prevent search engines from following links in the campaign.
Testing meta settings
Facebook's Sharing Debugger
One way to test your meta tags is by using Facebook's Sharing Debugger. Just enter your campaign's URL here: https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/sharing/
You will get a preview of your campaign as it will look when shared on Facebook. Note that it can take some time for your image to load.
Metatags.io
Another useful website is https://metatags.io/. This will let you generate previews for different social media platforms, since the tags are displayed differently depending on where the link is shared. Below you can see an example of a preview from Google and Facebook:
