1. How can I make sure that participants can keep playing until the time is up, regardless of how many points they collect?
Per default, participants are directed to the winner page as soon as they reach the required number of points. You can go around this by:
Setting the winning points to an amount that isn’t possible to reach within the time limit:
Set the visibility conditions for both your winner and loser page to be “All” and set the metric data visibility to be <xx points (loser page) and >xx points (winner page). See an example from a winner page here:
This way, you are defining the winner points via visibility conditions, rather than in the backend setting. Please note that this will make all players appear as “Losers” under their registration, as these are depending on the backend settings. Here is an article to help understand the metric data visibility conditions: here.
2. Why are the holes not showing on mobile?
This can happen if you are using the same general layout settings for desktop and mobile as these settings include the space between holes and rows. To fix this:
Disable the 'Use these settings for mobile' option:
Then, decrease the amount of space between rows and holes on mobile specifically:
3. Why is my cursor not showing on mobile and tablet?
On mobile and tablet, the player will simply use their finger as the cursor for hitting the moles. Therefore, the cursor will not be visible. This is best practice for mobile devices, and enhances the usability for the participants.
4. Can I sort the leaderboard based on other factors, such as time, instead of points?
Unfortunately not. The conditions by which leaderboards can be sorted and filtered vary depending on the game type. For the Hit-a-mole game type, points is the only condition you can use to rank players on the leaderboard. Check out this article for more information on leaderboards.
5. Why can I not upload my hole image?
The Hole image is restricted to a maximum height of 50 pixels, in order to stay compliant with the rest of the possibilities in our game.
Our recommended sizes:
Maximum size: 250px (width) x 50px (height)
Recommended size: 150 px (width)
Recommended as .png with a transparent background
