Ready to create your first campaign? Great! When you want to set up a new campaign you can either use one of our default campaign templates or you can make your own. You can also make a copy of your campaign.

In the following sections, we will take you through the process, step-by-step, and provide you with some guidance on how to create a new campaign most efficiently.

Creating a new campaign

When creating a new campaign, you will choose both a content template and a layout template. You can use one of your own templates or choose one of our “ready-to-use” templates. In our article on campaign templates, you can read more about saving, editing, and using templates.

1. Select campaign type

In the first step, you select which campaign type you want to use. You can select a campaign type that fits all devices or you can select a campaign type specifically for mobile devices. If you choose the mobile-only option, you will only configure the campaign for mobile. Read more here.

If you wish to use a campaign from a different account, you can import a campaign using the campaign distribution code.

2. Select game type

Hereafter, you can choose the game you want to create. We’ve created an overview of the four game types: Knowledge games, Luck games, Skill games and other game campaign types.

Not sure which game type to select? Find inspiration in our article on ‘How to choose the right game type?’.

3. Select content template

A content template is specific to the game type you have chosen and includes game related settings:

  • game settings

  • game flow page content

  • registration form

  • popover content

  • Integrations

  • in-game messages

  • registration limit

4. Select layout template

A layout template is related to the look and feel of your campaign. It is the same for all campaigns, so in the overview you will find layout templates that can be used across game types. The layout template includes:

  • general layout

  • landing page sections

  • header, footer, etc.

  • also includes styling (background etc.) on the game flow section

5. Predefine your data collection

If you want, you can predefine some aspects of your campaign's data collection and handling. You can skip this step to use the default settings and edit this later.

Data capture

What fields are in your registration form? Default is Name, Email, and a Checkbox for terms and conditions. Read more here.

Data retention

How long should the player data be saved? Default is 30 days after campaign expiration. Read more here.

Cookie consent

How will you gain consent from your players? You can connect your own cookie consent provider or configure our cookie consent integration. Read more here.

6. Name your campaign

In the last step you need to name your campaign. The name of the campaign will be included in the campaign live URL. You can change the name of the campaign anytime before going live.

After completing these four steps you'll be ready to edit your campaign.

If you leave the campaign and return to the platform, the new campaign will be accessible either on your account dashboard or you can find it by searching through all campaigns. See our guide here on how to find campaigns on your account.

Copying a campaign

If you want to reuse an existing campaign you can copy it. When copying a campaign, you can choose to keep the original game type or select a new gametype.

In the process of copying a campaign, prizes and integrations can also be duplicated. You can decide whether you want to duplicate all regular prizes or specific bulk prizes to the new campaign. All visibility conditions associated with the prizes will be retained as well as any conditions not dependent on the game type (like date, time range etc.).

Below you can see the options available when copying a campaign.
