Registration information

For a user to gain access to the Campaign Link overview, the user has to register up-front. The registration is essential for following the progress of the player during the flow.

When a user registers prior to the campaign link overview, the user data stays intact during the progression of the game journey. This also means, that player doesn't have to complete all of the games at once, but can leave the flow and come back where they left.

If you enable 'autosubmit' on the game campaigns, the player will automatically be submitted on the game campaigns. This option requires, that cookies are enabled as well, as the information is saved via cookies. Read more about autosubmit here.

UTM tracking

If you have added URL parameters to the URL directing players to the campaign link, these URL parameters will be passed on to the individual games that are loaded within the campaign link game iframe.

This means, that URL parameters added to the main campaign link can be collected on all separate games as well. This allows you to explore where the traffic is coming from, not only on the campaign link, but also on the attached games.

Game data

On a Campaign Link, the game data only related to whether a participant has "Passed" or "Not passed" a game.

This status is dependent on the requirements to complete each campaign, which is defined under 'campaigns' settings. This means, that whether you can use "Passed" or "Not passed" as defining data, is heavily reliant on what requirements is set for you to complete the campaign(s).

For example:

  1. All of the campaigns are set to use "Winner" as a requirement for completing the campaign. Which means that it will only be completed when a user has managed to meet the "Winner" requirements set on that games "Game Settings".

  2. All of the campaigns are set to use "All" as a requirement for completing the campaign. Which means that it will be completed when a user has played the game and participated, no matter the result.

Because the campaign link remembers the user to track their progression, each participant will, per default, only be registered once on the campaign link. Instead of making several registrations, the campaign link will 'update' the registration of a user to reflect their progress.

On the campaign link, a user is per default only registered once, but on the individual games, a player can register several times (depending on the registration limit). We recommend that you preserve a registration form on the game(s), unless you have the need for multiple registrations due to a prize setup on the Campaign Link.

If you need to enable multiple registrations you must navigate to "Game Settings" on the Campaign Link and click the "Enable multiple registrations".

Local data and registration forms

To access the local data on the campaigns connected to the campaign link, you can navigate to "Campaigns" and then click to "Edit game".

You will then be redirected to the specific game selected where you will be able to access both "Registrations", "Statistics" and "Game data statistics" on the individual game campaign.

Due to the nature of data collection on a campaign link, where users are only registered once (by default) you, your insights into user behavior is limited and you cannot for example check how many attempts a user used to complete a task.

For this reason, we recommend keeping a registration form on the game campaign(s), so that you have the ability to dive into this information locally on the game(s).

By adding a registration form to the individual games, you also have the option to attach prizes to each game, which improves flexibility for prize distribution.
