Cookies on your Playable campaign can be divided into 4 different categories:

  • Necessary cookies are needed to make the page functional (and are always required to be accepted)

  • Functional cookies are used in the registration form, to remember previously entered information.

  • Statistical cookies track participation data under Activity > Statistics.

  • Marketing cookies allow you to add pixel tracking for retargeting.

By default, Playable uses "functional" and "statistical" cookies. You can disable these cookies in your Account Settings, but please be aware that this may result in a loss of statistical insights.

Below, you can find a list of cookies set by Playable on your campaigns. Any cookies you add via scripts are not described here, but you can learn more in this article: Adding cookie consent to your campaign

Cookies set on game campaigns and landing pages

'xyz' will be replaced with the Playable campaign ID

Statistics/analytics cookies:

  • xyz-sid (lasts for 5 minutes)

    • Session ID for our analytics platform. This allows for accurate visit statistics, rather than counting a new visit for each page load.

  • xyz-sid-seen (lasts for 5 minutes)

    • Unix timestamp of when we last registered a page view for the session. This helps us identify when we need to construct a new session in case of session timeouts.

  • form_list (1 year)

    • Builds a list of campaigns where form_xyz cookies are set. This list is used to keep track of which campaigns we remember information from. When the list exceeds a threshold, we start removing old campaigns.

Functional cookies:

  • form_xyz (1 year)

    • Contains the remembered information from a previous form submission. This helps users to easily fill out the registration form when coming back to the campaign later.

  • form_global_XXXX (30 days)

    • The form_global_XXXX cookie (where XXXX represents the unique customer ID) is a specialized functional cookie used across Playable campaigns. This cookie is primarily designed to streamline the user experience by autofilling form fields across linked campaigns within the same account.

    • This cookie is set specifically on the campaign’s domain, restricting its availability to that domain only.

    • This cookie is set with a default lifespan of 30 days.

Necessary cookies:

These are only set once you enable a 3rd party cookie consent provider

  • cookie-access

    • This cookie is for whether or not access has been granted for cookies. The Playable integration with cookie information uses this to know if access has been granted.

  • cookie-access-categories

    • This cookie is for which categories within cookie information the user has granted access to. We use this to categorize our cookies so that only specific cookies are saved for each category.

Cookies set on pop-ups

It is not possible to opt-out from having these cookies placed. If cookies are not accepted on the webpage with the pop-up, the pop-up will not show to the end user.

'xyz' will be replaced with the Playable campaign ID

Statistics/analytics cookies:

  • xyz-sid (lives for 5 minutes)

    • Session ID for our analytics platform. This allows for accurate visit statistics, rather than counting a new visit for each page load.

  • xyz-sid-seen (lives for 5 minutes)

    • Unix timestamp of when we last registered a page view for the session. This helps us identify when we need to construct a new session in case of session timeouts.

Functional cookies:

  • lf-cmp-xyz (lives for 1 year)

    • Popup storage cookie. This cookie contains information about how many times a popup has been displayed, when it was last displayed and possibly URL tracking for our 'Hide and seek' popup game.
